PM2.5 Forecast for Beijing – Tuesday, January 21, 2014

After a great day on Monday, we should have a few more hours left of good air on Tuesday, but that can't last all day.  Sometime between late morning and mid-afternoon, we can expect the PM2.5 to start accumulating.  Depending on how the weather behaves, we could stay as low as Unhealthy, or the AQI could climb up to Very Unhealthy before midnight.

EXTENDED FORECAST

WEDNESDAY, January 22:  Poor air quality should be the order of the day.  We might see lower pollution levels in the morning, but we should have Unhealthy or Very Unhealthy PM2.5 levels for much of the day.

THURSDAY, January 23:  Wednesday’s poor air quality should continue on Thursday; expect high AQI levels all day, likely at Very Unhealthy or worse.

FRIDAY, January 24:  There is a good chance of clear skies on Friday morning, but there is also a chance that the weather will only reduce the AQI slightly.  But even if we see some clearing in the morning, we should see increasing pollution in the evening.
