PM2.5 Forecast for Beijing – Tuesday, January 14, 2014

Tuesday looks like another day for poor air quality in Beijing.  We should see some reduction in pollution in the early morning hours, but it is unlikely that it will drop below Very Unhealthy or Unhealthy.  Then, after noon, we should see the PM2.5 levels increasing again through the rest of the day.

EXTENDED FORECAST

WEDNESDAY, January 15:  It continues to look like we could see some high pollution levels on Wednesday.  Air quality should be somewhat better in the morning, but it is likely that we will see Hazardous AQI levels in the afternoon or evening.

THURSDAY, January 16:  High pollution levels should continue today; it looks unlikely that we will see air quality better than Very Unhealthy.

FRIDAY, January 17:  We should get a break from the high pollution levels at some point on Friday.  Big air movements should greatly improve air quality somewhere between late morning and late afternoon.
