PM2.5 Forecast for Beijing – Tuesday, January 7, 2014

On Tuesday, we should make it back to good air quality again.  We should see pollution levels dropping in the early morning hours, and we could drop into the Good/Moderate range as early as 5 or 6AM.  Although the clearing could happen a few hours later than that, once the pollution clears, we should have good air quality for the rest of the day.

EXTENDED FORECAST

WEDNESDAY, January 8:  We're looking for Good or Moderate levels for almost the entire day, then increasing PM2.5 levels in the evening.

THURSDAY, January 9:  Thursday will likely be worse than Wednesday for air quality, so we should spend a good portion of the day at Unhealthy AQI levels.  The best air quality of the day should come between late morning and late afternoon, and we could see the AQI dip down to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups during that time.

FRIDAY, January 10:  There are no signs of good air arriving on Friday, so we can probably expect AQI levels at Unhealthy in the morning, then possibly increasing to Very Unhealthy in the afternoon and evening.
