PM2.5 Forecast for Beijing – Saturday, January 18, 2014

We were able to enjoy some Good air quality on Friday, but only for the briefest of moments before the pollution piled on again.  On Saturday, we should get another chance at some good air quality.  Look for the PM2.5 levels to start dropping at or shortly after midnight.  Our possible window for Good/Moderate air quality is between about 6AM and 6PM with high levels of pollution at either end of the day.

EXTENDED FORECAST

SUNDAY, January 19:  We should start off the morning with poor air quality, then there is a good chance we will see the skies clear again, likely after noon.  After that, the pollution levels should remain low for the rest of the day.

MONDAY, January 20:  If the extended forecast holds, we can expect Good/Moderate air quality for Beijing all day on Monday.

TUESDAY, January 21:  Monday's good air quality should carry over for part of Tuesday, but we can expect the PM2.5 to start accumulating again in the afternoon and evening.
