PM2.5 Forecast for Beijing – Monday, January 13, 2014

Monday is likely to fall short of Sunday's good air quality.  We should be at Unhealthy conditions overnight, then we should see the levels of PM2.5 drop somewhat after sunrise.  Shortly after noon, the pollution should begin to accumulate again, and we could see sharp increases throughout the evening.

EXTENDED FORECAST

TUESDAY, January 14:  After high AQI levels overnight, the pollution should be somewhat lower in the morning, but it is uncertain how much lower.  We could drop as low as Moderate, but it is more likely that the lowest level will be Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.  Then between mid-morning and noon, PM2.5 levels should move up again fairly quickly.

WEDNESDAY, January 15:  From this far out, it looks like we could see some high pollution levels on Wednesday.  It is difficult to say how high, but it is likely to be Very Unhealthy or higher.
