PM2.5 Forecast for Beijing – Monday, January 6, 2014

In the never-ending roller coaster that is Beijing's air quality, Monday should bring us to another peak in pollution levels.  Look for increasing pollution overnight and through about sunrise.  We should see PM2.5 concentrations level off or drop somewhat through the morning and early afternoon, then we can expect the air quality to begin to deteriorate yet again.

EXTENDED FORECAST

TUESDAY, January 7:  We should see poor air quality continue overnight, then it’s likely that we will see clearing skies sometime between late morning and mid-afternoon.

WEDNESDAY, January 8:  We should see air quality that is generally better than average for Beijing this time of year, likely with Good or Moderate levels for parts of the day.

THURSDAY, January 9:  Thursday will likely be a little worse than Wednesday for air quality, so it's likely that we will spend a good portion of the day at Unhealthy AQI levels.  The best air quality of the day should come between late morning and late afternoon.
