PM2.5 Forecast for Beijing – Friday, January 24, 2014

After Thursday's poor air quality, we have a good chance at greatly improved air quality on Friday.  We're expecting PM2.5 levels to start dropping in the early morning hours, and we could see Good/Moderate air quality as early as 7 or 8AM.  There is some chance that we will not see the pollution clear entirely, but in any case we should see Friday's AQI at lower levels than Thursday's.

EXTENDED FORECAST

SATURDAY, January 25:  It looks like the good air quality could continue through the morning and possibly into the early afternoon, but we expect deteriorating conditions in the afternoon and evening.

SUNDAY, January 26:   The extended forecast predicts weather conditions that are likely to give us high AQI levels.  We could see a dip in the pollution between late morning and early afternoon, but we should have Unhealthy or higher PM2.5 levels for the entire day with a good chance at seeing Very Unhealthy or worse conditions.

MONDAY, January 27:  Monday should bring us another chance at good air quality, most likely in the afternoon or evening.
