PM2.5 Forecast for Beijing – Monday, January 20, 2014

It took a little longer than expected, but our good air quality finally appeared on Sunday evening.  For Monday, we can expect that good air quality to continue for almost the entire day.  We might see a slight increase in pollution in the evening, but that looks like a small chance at this point.

EXTENDED FORECAST

TUESDAY, January 21:  There is a decent chance that Monday’s good air quality will carry over for part of Tuesday, but we can expect the PM2.5 to start accumulating again sometime between mid-morning and late afternoon.

WEDNESDAY, January 22:  Poor air quality should be the order of the day.  From the extended forecast, it looks like we will have Very Unhealthy PM2.5 levels for much of the day.

THURSDAY, January 23:  Wednesday's poor air quality should continue on Thursday; expect high AQI levels all day.
